Expiration Policy

Have you forgotten about your HawaiianMiles account? Earned mileage will expire when a member does not earn or redeem miles for 18 consecutive months from the last date of member activity.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How can I keep my miles from expiring?

Any earning or redemption activity will prevent your miles from expiring for 18 months. If your miles are about to expire, you can prevent them from expiring by:

  1. Booking a Hawaiian Airlines flight using your HawaiianMiles
  2. Using your Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard
  3. Shop with our HawaiianMiles partners
  4. Use the Hawaiian Airlines MileFinder
  5. Redeem your miles for non-flight partner awards

Can I purchase additional miles to keep my miles from expiring?

Yes. Purchases may be made in increments of 500 miles, with a minimum requirement of 500 miles. Purchases may be made online or by phone.

Where can I find my account activity?

Your account activity can be found online by logging into your HawaiianMiles account and going to your Mileage Statement. If you do not have access to internet, you may call our HawaiianMiles Service Center.

How can I find HawaiianMiles Partners?

The HawaiianMiles program has a wide range of partners that offer miles with a purchase.

To find out how you can earn from HawaiianMiles Partners, you can become a HawaiianMiles member and subscribe to our email about special partner offers.

If you are already a member, you can subscribe to our emails online.

To find Hawaiian Airlines partners in your community, check out our online partners page at Partners.HawaiianAirlines.com.

Will adding my HawaiianMiles number on my reservation for a future flight, or submitting a retroactive flight miles request for past dated travel prevent my miles from expiring?

No, mileage activity within 18 consecutive months of the last date of activity in your account is what prevents your miles  from expiring.  If you purchase a future flight on Hawaiian Airlines, your flight activity will be dated for the dates of travel, not the date of booking.  Future flights will only prevent your miles from expiring if travel is completed before the date of expiration.  In the case of retroactive mileage requests, the activity is logged upon completion of travel.

However, if you purchase your flight with your Hawaiian Airlines MasterCard credit card or Visa debit card, you can use the miles earned from the purchase to generate activity on the account associated with the card. Additionally, members with a Hawaiian Airlines credit or debit card associated with their account can receive Share Miles from other accounts.
