Extra Comfort Refund Policy

Please visit our  Terms & Conditions for information regarding our Extra Comfort refund policy.

Refunds will be given to cancellations requested within 24 hours from the time you purchased your ticket.

Customers who voluntarily cancel, or change their flight or itinerary outside the 24 hour policy will not be eligible for a refund. However, if an Extra Comfort seat is available on the new flight, the customer may secure the Extra Comfort seat using the original form of payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which rows are designated as Extra Comfort seating?

Extra Comfort seats are designated as Rows 11, 12, 13, 14, 33 and 34.

What qualifies me to sit in an Exit Row seat?

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Adults must not be travelling with children under the age of 15
  • Must be willing and able to assist in the unlikely event of an emergency
  • Must speak English and be able to comprehend the instructions for operating the emergency exit
  • Must be able to locate and reach the emergency exit expeditiously
  • Must be able to operate the emergency exit and assess whether opening the emergency exit will increase hazards to passengers
  • Must have sufficient mobility, strength, or dexterity in both arms, both hands and both legs to operate an exit
  • Must be able to lift and stow a 30-95lbs. emergency window exit so that it will not impede use of the exit
  • Must be able to activate an escape slide and assist other customers in evacuating and getting off the slide
  • Must not be traveling with any pets in the cabin, Service Animals, Emotional/Comfort/Psychiatric Support Animals and must not require the assistance of such Service Animals and Emotional/Comfort/Psychiatric Support Animals

What seats have electrical outlets?

All Extra Comfort seats have electrical outlets.

What is the voltage of the in-seat power outlet?

The in-seat power outlet is 110 volts. It is also compatible with most international plug converters.

Is Hawaiian Airlines considering Extra Comfort for Boeing 717 and Boeing 767 flights?

Not at this time.  However, we will continue to offer Preferred Seats (which provide Zone 2 priority boarding and extra legroom) on these aircraft types.

Can I use my eCertificate to purchase an Extra Comfort seat?

An eCertificate may only be used for the purchase of a ticket and will not be applied to the cost of an Extra Comfort seat.

Can I use my Gift Certificate and/or Gift Card to purchase an Extra Comfort seat?

Gift certificates and/or gift cards cannot be used when purchasing Extra Comfort seats. For more information about gift certificates and gift cards, click here.

Can I use miles to purchase an Extra Comfort Upgrade? 

No.  Miles cannot be used to upgrade Extra Comfort.

Can I upgrade a Coach award ticket that I've used miles, to purchase an Extra Comfort Upgrade? 

Yes.  Coach tickets that were purchased using HawaiianMiles can be upgraded to Extra Comfort, however the upgrade must be made in USD.  HawaiianMiles cannot be used to purchase Extra Comfort upgrades.
